The 2009/2010 season is about to start, and I hope it will be the best season yet!  We have a new roof on the chalet, new t-bars and a new bunny tow rope and that is just the beginning!

By now you have probably heard about the break-in at the hill this summer, a lot of damage was done to the buildings, and we lost our snowmobiles.  This will make running the hill this winter that much more difficult.  If you have any information on who is responsible, please contact the Thompson RCMP.  I would like on behalf of all our members to thank Giant Tiger and Sun Life Financial for their support.  Their fund raiser will help offset the cost of the brake-in.   Please remember that Sun Life and Giant Tiger stepped up to help us and you can return the favour when you are purchasing or need financial planning.

The Membership Drive for the 2009/2010 season begins on September 11th and 12th at the Thompson Leisure Mart.  Whether you are a returning member or a new member, drop by and sign up.

There will be plenty to do to prepare the hill for the new season and as always Troy and I will need help.  Please set aside some time.  Remember, our club is run by volunteers not paid staff!  A lack of volunteers will mean delays in opening.  And Sandy would like me to remind you that volunteers are needed every Sunday night for BINGO at the Legion.  This is an easy way to help the club raise the funds we need to continue.
