Thompson Ski Club Announces Fund Raiser

Steve Carpenter, president of the Thompson Ski Club, announced at the annual volunteers night, that the club was beginning a fund raiser.  "Next year is the ski club's 50th anniversary and a big part of the 50th anniversary celebrations will be raising $160,000.00".  He added, "If everyone who has skied or boarded at Mystery Mountain over the past 50 years would make a small donation, that would go a long way towards raising the $160,000.00."  The money will be used to purchase a new groomer similar to the one pictured below.  "Our present groomer", Steve continued, "is over 25 years old and parts for repairs are becoming difficult to find.  Without a groomer the future of Mystery Mountain Winter Park is uncertain."  A new garage to house the groomer is already under construction and should be completed this summer.  Donations can be made to any Board member, or call Steve at (204) 307-1558 email;
