Targetted Opening Day January 6, 2024

It's been a challenging start to the season, but after a lot of hard work, Mystery Mountain is targetting an opening day for January 6, 2024 at 11:00am! We’re still confirming if some essential staff are available this weekend. Stay tuned here or our social media pages to stay up to date!

The low snowfall this winter made it a lot more difficult to open this month. We dumped roughly five million litres of water on to our slopes, powered by more than 1000 collective volunteer hours to run the guns, groom and push snow, and pack our XC ski runs. Thank you to everyone who came out this fall and winter to get us moving, including the new folks who answered our Facebook calls. We couldn't have done it without you!

We're excited to see everyone out for the start of the season, opening at 11:00am!

It's Closing Weekend April 15 and 16, Come Have Some Fun!

It's hard to believe that another season is coming to a close! This weekend is our last weekend of the season: our last day is April 16, 2023!

Come make summer plans with your skiing friends at our closing day potluck on Sunday at 12:30pm: bring your favourite dish, feed and be fed!

After the potluck, try your actual luck in the Slush Cup at 2:00pm: brave the pool of water and make it to the other end (or get absolutely *soaked*)!

There will also be *no* rentals on Sunday, so if you want to rent a pair of skis this weekend, Saturday is your last day to do it!

See you this weekend!

Adult Learn to Ski Clinic This Weekend!

We're hosting another Learn to Ski Clinic this Saturday, January 14, and this time it's the grown-ups turn to learn!

For $75 you get a ski pass, ski rentals, and a 1.5-hour lesson from one of our CSIA- certified instructors! The forecast for January 14 is -16C, which is still pretty darn amazing for January weather (though you may want to dress a little warmer than our friend Romek here)!

The clinic runs from 11:30-1:00pm on Saturday. Message 204-670-2069 for more information, or to register. Sign up as soon as possible: there are only eight spots available, and our kids clinic sold out REALLY fast! Book your spot as soon as possible!

Learn to Ski This Sunday, January 8!

The forecast is calling for -9C this week, and it's a perfect time to get your kids out on skis for the first (or second, or third) time!

Mystery Mountain Ski School is hosting a Learn to Ski Clinic for beginners this Sunday, January 8! For $75 you get a ski pass, ski rentals, and a 1.5-hour lesson from one of our CSIA- certified instructors!

The clinic runs from 11:30-1:00pm on Sunday, and is open to kids ages 8-12! Message 204-670-2069 for more information, or to register. Sign up as soon as possible: there are only six spots available!

April 10 is Closing Day: Celebrate with a Slush Cup!

April 9 and 10 is the last days that we’re open this season! There’s still a lot of snow right now, but the weather is going to turn quick, and staffing is running a bit short.

The rental shop will be closed on Sunday, April 10, so bring your own skis and snowboards. But we are bringing back an old favourite: a slush cup!

Never been to a slush cup before? We dig a pit and fill it with water, and then skiers and snowboarders come down the hill and have to make it across without sinking! Wacky outfits are always encouraged! We’re digging the pit in the morning, and the event starts at 2:00pm!

Slush cups are fun family events, but remember to wear a helmet and play it safe: it’s up to you to decide if that’s your flavour of fun, and if you can do it safely. But even if it’s not your cup of tea, it’s always fun to watch!

Our AGM is on June 1, 2021!

We're hosting our annual AGM early this year, so we can start planning for the next ski season this summer!

The AGM will be hosted on June 1, 2021 at 6:00pm. The meeting will be held on Zoom at the link below!

Mystery Mountain Spring AGM Agenda

If you want to help shape Mystery Mountain's 2021/2022 season, make a note in your calendar and let us know if you want to attend!

Last Weekend of the Season is March 3 and 4!

It's official: this weekend is our LAST WEEKEND! Rentals will only be available on Saturday!

Our team went out to take a look at the slopes this morning, and the lift lines are starting to show bare patches. We'll be able to keep the T-Bar covered for the weekend, but we won't be able to keep up with the melt after that.

Otherwise, there's still plenty of snow on the slopes outside of the lift line, and the rope tow is still looking fairly clean! Come out and say goodbye to the ski season!
