We're Hiring a Hill Manager!

Are you a handyperson, jack-of-all trades type who loves working outside and helping people have fun? Mystery Mountain Winter Park is seeking an individual to fulfill the role of Hill Manager for the 2021/22 season.

This is a seasonal opportunity with employment beginning mid-December and ending early April 2022. The interested individual must be available to work Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The Hill Manager reports to the Thompson Ski Club Board of Directors.

Duties of this position include:

  • Opening/closing of Mystery Mountain on operating days/hours as listed above;

  • Oversee daily operation of Mystery Mountain;

  • Assist with the closing of Mystery Mountain at the end of the season;

  • Hire, schedule and supervise lift attendants;

  • Perform basic maintenance and repairs on buildings as indicated;

  • Snow shoveling/removal as required;

  • Basic record keeping;

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Driver’s license (must have own transportation to and from Mystery Mountain);

  • Ability to operate snow machine;

  • Ability to work as part of a team;

  • Experience with heavy duty equipment (asset, not required);

  • Enjoy working in the outdoors;

  • Clear Criminal Record and Child Abuse Registry check;

  • Certification in Standard First Aid.

Wages are dependent upon the candidate’s skill set, and include a fuel allowance.
